Connect GitHub

Install the Seamward GitHub App for a workspace.

Before you begin

  • Workspace owner or admin access
  • Permission to install or request a GitHub App
  • At least one repository that implements a Seamward integration

Required permissions

Review the repository capabilities Seamward requests.

  • Read repository metadata and contents needed for mapped source context.
  • Create issues after explicit confirmation.
  • Create branches and draft pull requests after explicit confirmation.

Install the app

Grant access to the repositories Seamward may use.

  1. Open Workspace settings from the sidebar.
  2. Open the GitHub tab.
  3. Click the Connect GitHub button in the GitHub connection section and grant access to the required repositories.

Confirm the connection

Verify the installation in Workspace settings.

Return to the GitHub tab and confirm that the installation account and granted repositories are listed.
