Generate a repair

Create a bounded AI-assisted proposal.

AI is advisory

A model may propose and explain a repair. Deterministic validation decides whether it works; an authorised reviewer decides whether it can be delivered.

Generation requirements

Confirm replay evidence and an available provider.

  • The incident has supported drift findings.
  • The incident has observation evidence that can produce privacy-safe replay fixtures. Seamward prepares the newest immutable fixture revision automatically when proposal generation starts. The complete current evidence must fit the 1,000-fixture limit; replay_evidence_capacity_exceeded reports a larger set without creating a partial proposal.
  • Repair generation is enabled for your deployment; when it is not, the Generate proposal action is unavailable and every other workflow still works.

Generate the proposal

Request one candidate for the current incident.

Open the incident's Repair tab and click Generate proposal. Seamward sends bounded incident evidence to the configured provider and stores the returned candidate for validation. The Repair progress indicator keeps reproduction, proposal, validation, approval, and delivery in one sequence.

Read the explanation

Review assumptions and evidence references.

Check that the explanation refers to evidence visible in the incident. Treat unsupported assumptions or unrelated operations as a reason to reject the proposal.
